Broken Arrow Woman Injured in Polaris Accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a personal injury incident on February 24, 2024, around 11:05 PM, situated at the junction of W 201st St S & S 529th West Ave, approximately 5 miles north of Depew, in Creek County, OK.

Involved in the incident was Vehicle-1, a 2022 Polaris RZR, operated by Marta Pina Escobedo, 29 from Broken Arrow, OK. Following the collision, Marta was transported by Creek County EMS to St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK, where she was admitted in stable condition due to arm injuries.

Accompanying Marta were passengers Rubet Pina,  25 from Broken Arrow, OK, Anayeli Juarez,  25 of Tulsa, OK, and Marisol Gonzalez,  26 from Tulsa, OK. Fortunately, none of the passengers sustained any injuries.

The incident occurred as the vehicle was traveling eastbound on 201st St S and failed to navigate the turn onto S 529th West Ave, causing the vehicle to roll approximately ¼ time. The investigation revealed that the driver was impaired by alcohol, and speeding was identified as the primary cause of the collision.

Weather conditions at the time were reported as clear, and the roadway was dry with a gravel surface. All occupants were wearing seatbelts, and there were no instances of airbag deployment, entrapment, or ejection.
