5th Annual Fit 2 Learn Summit Educates On School Health

TULSA, OK – More than 150 local educators, administrators, health professionals, parents and community leaders are scheduled to attend the 5th Annual Fit 2 Learn Summit: Rising above Challenges, Empowering Children to Achieve Healthy Futures held at OSU Center for Health Sciences, 1111 West 17th Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on June 5.

The summit is designed to empower attendees with the knowledge, skills and strategies to improve health and wellness in their schools.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Alyson Shoaf, MAEd, who will focus on the importance of recess.  Participants will gain an understanding of how recess is defined by Shape America and CDC, along with the benefits of recess.  Shoaf will also present two breakout sessions: Planning, Implementing and Evaluating Recess Programs with an Emphasis on Recess before Lunch and Creating Recess Programs with All Students in Mind.
