Clifford Gene Plett died Sunday, August 20, 2017, following an extended illness.

Clifford Gene Plett was the sixth child born to David Epp and Helena Pankratz Plett on September 14, 1932, at Inola, Oklahoma. Clifford received his early schooling at Inola and moved with his family to Ramona, Oklahoma where he completed his schooling. Clifford served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Military Policeman and received his honorable discharge on February 18, 1955. He enrolled in the Okmulgee Tech College and earned a degree in Automatic Mechanics in 1956. He obtained employment with Roy Hughes Chevrolet in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. In 1959 he opened his own Automotive Repair Shop in Collinsville, Oklahoma and remained there until his retirement, due to ill health, in 2002. Clifford was active in gardening and shared much of the garden produce with family and friends.

Clifford Gene Plett married Lois Marie Black and together they raised three children, Anita Kaye, Michael Allen (Michelle) and David Gene. He enjoyed their nine grandchildren: Kerisa Marie, Erich Steven, Adam Raylee, Kimberlee Megan, Zackery Allen, Sheilah RaeMarie (Matt), Shelbie Dawn, Rory Danielle and Craig Matthew David; six great grandchildren: Nicholas RaShawn, Tahyia Marie, Thayven, Jayde Alexandria, Keyonna D’Nae and Elena Michelle.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Lois Marie, three children, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Plett Fletcher of Meeker, Oklahoma and Loretta Plett (Henry) Craighead of Mefford, Oregon; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and their spouses, Mitchell and Mae Plett and Vernon and Renetta Plett; two sisters, Orletta (Orlie) Elsa Ketts, Alverta (Alie) Dexter one nephew, Perry Edward Plett.

Visitation will be 1:30 to 6:00, Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services, under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Faith Fellowship Church with Rev. Kelvin Limbocker officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery.
