“The Christmas Tour has become an annual tradition for many people,” said Setzer. “It’s so enjoyable for me because not only do I get to play my own versions of holiday music, but also songs I recorded with my orchestra and the Stray Cats. I love breaking down the set in the middle and just play rockabilly music with a three-piece, which is where I started. I get to change up the set every year, and it’s also my favorite time of year.”
Three-time Grammy Award-winner Setzer is a “musician’s musician,” who is credited with consistently taking chances with innovative and daring musical styles, while single-handedly resurrecting two forgotten genres of music, rockabilly in the ‘80s and swing in the ‘90s. Throughout his career, Setzer has scored chart-topping hits as founder/leader of the Stray Cats and his 18-piece Brian Setzer Orchestra and as a solo artist.
Setzer has also found tremendous success in redefining Christmas music for a generation desperately desiring something new and exciting around the holidays. The result is three best-selling holiday albums, “Boogie Woogie Christmas,” “Dig That Crazy Christmas,” “Christmas Rocks!: The Best Of Collection” and an annual Christmas tour that The Los Angeles Times proclaims, “Whose sheer joy is irresistible!”
