Country staple Mark Wills, scheduled for April 6 at 8 p.m., is known for a string of hits that became some of country music’s most popular songs, including “Places I’ve Never Been,” “19 Something,” “Jacob’s Ladder,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Don’t Laugh at Me” and “I Do (Cherish You),” among others.
Wills won Top New Male Vocalist from the Academy of Country Music in 1998. He is also one of the newest Grand Ole Opry inductees, receiving the honor in January 2019.
2019 ACM Award nominee Jimmie Allen is set to perform at Track 5. on April 19 at 8 p.m. Allen made history with his breakout three-week No. 1 debut single, “Best Shot,” described by “Rolling Stone” as a “rare honest love song, with a catchy, melodic chorus that flirts with pop-rock power balladry,” enabling the Delaware native to etch his name in history as the first black artist to launch their career with a No. 1 at  country radio. Allen’s follow up single, “Make Me Want To,” is the second from his debut album, “Mercury Lane,” which The New York Times asserts is one of 2018’s strongest and describes it as “a conventional country album, filled with songs about the small details.” The breakout star will be hitting the road this summer as support on Chris Young’s “Raised on Country’s Tour” and Rascal Flatts’ “Summer Playlist Tour.”
Fans must have or sign up for a free One Star Rewards Card to attend the show.
Wrapping up the month’s headliners is Cody Canada and The Departed on April 26 at 9 p.m. Cody Canada formed The Departed in 2011 after several years as frontman for the Red Dirt groundbreaking band Cross Canadian Ragweed.
Joined by Jeremy Plato, who’s played alongside Canada for decades starting with Cross Canadian Ragweed’s first album, and drummer Eric Hansen, The Departed released their latest album, “3,” in 2018. The album includes songs like “Lipstick” and “Sam Hain” and collaborations with acclaimed songwriter and producer Mike McClure.
