Broken Arrow Youth Awarded American Airlines Scholarship
FORT WORTH, TX (June 1, 2016) — For more than a decade, American Airlines Federal Credit Union has been proud to invest in the futures of its young member-owners by providing scholarship awards toward higher education. In honor of our 80th anniversary, we are pleased to be awarding a grand total of $80,000 in scholarships, our highest total to date. This year, out of more than 650 initial applicants, the Credit Union was pleased to award a total of 16 scholarships. Nine high school students and seven college students each received $5,000 scholarships.
“The Credit Union is proud to provide these outstanding young people a financial incentive to pursue their dreams. We can’t wait to see what’s next from these talented go-getters,” said Lori Hall, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Member Services at American Airlines Credit Union. “We have high hopes for every one of them.”

HIGH SCHOOL RECIPIENTS
Clare Cushing, 18, of Colleyville, Texas, plans to study biomedical engineering at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
Donyea Grayson, 15, of Grand Prairie, will study psychology and pre-law at UCLA.
Sydney Jodon, 18, of Phoenix, Arizona, plans to study computer science at Arizona State University.
Nadira Khan, 18, of Phoenix, Arizona, will study international relations at Arizona State University.
Alexandra Martinez, 17, of Arlington, Texas, plans to study civil engineering at the University of Iowa.
William Miller, 18, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, will study chemical engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
