Cherokee Nation Accepting School Clothing Voucher Applications in July

 

Cherokee Nation logo06/26/2016 TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Applications for the 2016 Clothing Assistance Program that helps families purchase new school clothes will be available starting July 6.

All children applying for the $100 clothing gift cards must be Cherokee Nation citizens and living within the 14-county tribal jurisdiction, as well as meet income guidelines. To qualify, children must be in grades K-12 and parents must provide proof of school enrollment. Parents will also be required to provide income verification for all adults in the household.

Cherokee Nation employees will be at field sites throughout the 14 counties taking applications from 1 to 6 p.m. at South Coffeyville, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Nowata and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all other remaining locations. Once parents are verified, they will receive a $100 gift card for each school-aged child within the household.

July 7 – Porum High School gym, 4th and W. Osage

July 8 – South Coffeyville Community Center, 215 Oklahoma St.

July 12 – Vinita Health Center, 27371 S. 4410 Road
