Collinsville Man Injured in Fatality Accident in Rogers County Monday Evening

ohpThe Oklahoma Highway Patrol has reported a fatality collision occurred March 14 at approximately 8:27pm on 340 road,  300 feet east of South Buck Ave, approximately 5 miles east of Talala, Ok in Rogers County.

2000 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Demario Lucas, age: 40 of Collinsville was eastbound on 340 road at a high rate of speed, departed roadway to the right over-corrected three times, entered a yaw and departed the roadway to the left.  He then struck a utility pole and rolled 1/4 time landing on its drivers side.  Lucas’s passenger, Robert Mason, age:35 of Claremore was ejected and pinned beneath the truck for approximately 2 hours and 13 minutes.  He was extricated by Northwest Fire using the jaws of life and pronounced dead at the scene from head injuries.

Lucas suffered trunk external and arm injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
