Broken Arrow Repaving Project on New Orleans to Begin April 3

road construction

The City of Broken Arrow Streets and Stormwater Department is expected to begin repaving a one-mile stretch of New Orleans Street (101st Street South) from Olive Avenue (129th East Avenue) to Garnett Road starting April 3. The project is anticipated to take about three weeks to complete, weather permitting.

During the mill and overlay project, traffic will be restricted to one lane of travel, depending on which side of the road is being worked on. Detour signs will be in place to direct drivers around the construction. We appreciate drivers’ patience while this necessary roadwork is completed.

The New Orleans repaving project costs $190,000 and is being paid for through 2014 General Obligation Bonds.
